Driller Offsider- Excellent Culture - Immediate Start & Weekly Pay

Extrastaff are chasing a few eager, hardworking Driller Offsiders for a client who has on-going work around the city in the civil infrastructure space doing horizontal drilling. You'll be helping out on the ground, working within the drill crew, and learning from some of the best in the business. This is an extremely labour intensive role, however similarly rewarding for the right individual. It's work hard, play hard but with a supportive team around you alongside down-to-earth management.
The right person will be reliable, able to work full 8 hour days, and motivated to earn while operating as a team player.
You'll need to be physically fit, able to graft and put in the work, with a can-do attitude.
You must have a clean MOJ and be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
What's in it for you: Weekly pay (minimum wage for most roles, however could be higher dependant on the client & associated tasks)Superb support from management with clear, constant communicationOn-going work with a strong pipeline (excuse the pun)Working as part of a drilling crew, with on-going trainingStart as an Offsider before moving up the ranks and into a Driller roleWhat you will be doing: Installation of civil drainage and water, while assisting the drill crewPhysically lifting materials around site, including pulling pipeWorking as part of a close-knit, rough and ready team of skilled men who will mentor you to get to where they areOperating under OH&S standards with safety at the forefrontWhat you will bring to the table: NZ Residency or a valid Visa (with minimum 6 months remaining validity)Eager to get stuck in and reliable - will you show up every morning?Ability to work both outdoors, with the versatility to work where required (limited travel, mainly around CHCH, but could extend across the country for certain projects when required)Excellent communication skillsExtremely high level of physical fitness - you will be pulling rods up to 25kg and working in a drilling environmentAwareness of health and safetyCan pass a pre-employment Drug Screening testA sense of humour never goes amissAt Extrastaff, safety is paramount and as such the right candidate will have a strong commitment to OH&S, with the ability to work as part of a team to ensure everyone goes home safely.
