About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Residential Drainlayer to join our growing team. As a key player in our small, dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of drainage projects, from blocked drains and CCTV inspections to new house installations, multi-unit developments, and maintenance of existing properties. Key Responsibilities: Operate a range of equipment, including diggers, trucks, and small plant machinery (e.g., plate compactors, concrete saws) safely and effectively.Read and interpret plans, and install sewer and stormwater drains in compliance with the NZ Building Code.Install manholes, sumps, and chambers to specified levels.Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of drainage systems.Work efficiently within a small team, liaising with builders, subcontractors, clients, and suppliers.Prepare and complete site documentation, including health and safety and drainage quality assurance reports.Manage projects from start to finish, and work independently when required.Maintain physical fitness to handle the demands of the role. Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of 4 years' experience in residential drainage.Current Drainlaying qualification; plumbing qualifications are advantageous.CCC authorisation is a plus.Experience operating plant and trucks.Full Driver's License (Class 2); WTR licenses are advantageous.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work well in a team and achieve common goals.Capable of passing all pre-employment checks and providing strong references.
