Maintenance Services Networks are responsible for the delivery of the water and wastewater reactive, planned, and routine maintenance for the Central Network region for Watercare Services Limited. We have a core base of ongoing work commitments 24/7, 365 days. As the Wastewater Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational supervision of the Drainage crew and contracted third-party specialist resources performing the Central Network region reactive maintenance contract works for Watercare's Network Operations team. You will organise the necessary resources and equipment to meet reactive maintenance requirements and to plan routine, preventative, and project works to ensure efficient, high-quality, and low customer impact performance of the required work tasks. You will manage the reactive maintenance roster and provide adequate coverage to maintain agreed service delivery standards 24/7/365. Other responsibilities will include: Ensuring safe, high-quality, and contractually compliant operations are reliably performed at all times. Recruiting and retaining high-performing field crew and contract personnel, managing performance through timely and appropriate steps to address individual performance issues. Participating in the Duty roster to provide escalated incident management and to manage higher-level escalations as appropriate. Qualification in Utilities Maintenance or Pipeline Construction, L3/4 preferred but not essential. Practical experience in the wastewater utilities sector with a very good understanding of wastewater reticulation networks. A commitment to Health and Safety. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and a good level of computer literacy. Current clean Class 1 NZ drivers licence.
