About the Role
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Divisional Sales Manager to join our team based in Wiri, Aukland.
This role would suit someone with a proven Business to Business sales track record in food processing or packaging equipment sales as well as complete line solutions, targeting the creation and maximisation of relationships within the food industry.
The Divisional Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying new target markets, building and maintaining relationships with prospective and current clients with the objective of achieving sales revenue and growth according to both team and individual targets.
Key Responsibilities
The Divisional Sales Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Both individual sales quota as well as regional sales team quota responsibilities
Identify and develop business opportunities with new & current clients, in existing industries and new target markets that can be served by tna's product lines
Coordinate the development of sales promotion and lead generation activities, plus other relevant marketing initiatives
Evaluate, develop and execute targeted initiatives to help grow sales and overall support for tna's equipment including annual business plans with objectives
Build and maintain effective customer relationships, negotiating all terms of the sale and providing ongoing support
Manage the activities of, and provide support & coaching to, the Sales Team including resource planning, delegating tasks, and implementing strategies for optimum use of sales staff
Meet and exceed team & individual sales targets to maximize tna's growth and meet budget
Work closely with internal departments to ensure specific client requirements, timeframes and tna practices and requirements are met
Represent TNA at trade fairs, exhibitions & networking events (including some weekends)
Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications in business, sales and marketing, engineering or other discipline are considered, but not mandatory
Exposure to the machinery sales and manufacturing industry (specifically food, packaging or seafood industry) is advantageous
Working knowledge of current marketplace trendsSound knowledge of selling strategies is essential
Skills & Abilities
Significant sales management history in a senior capacity, with proven results of consistently driving the sales process from plan to close, ensuring outcomes are achieved
Superior communication, negotiation and influencing skill, with the ability to overcome objections
Staff Management and Leadership experience, with experience motivating staff and cultivating a winning sales culture
Able to problem solve & make decisions in line with organisational philosophies and practices.
Self-motivated and driven, a strong sense of initiative and enthusiasm
Able to think strategically with good reasoning ability
Proven experience providing excellent customer experiences and building strong relationships both internally and externally
Identification with tna values including being a team player, passionate, professional, committed, honest and treat people with dignity and respectMust be able to travel domestically and internationally, sometimes on short notice, to customer sites
