Joining the Shape Group of Companies, Dependable Power is set to take company growth and working opportunities to the next level through the combined resources of NZ's well-known generator supplier and installer coupled with the expertise and resourcing of NZ's critical infrastructure energy company.Dependable Power Limited is an established, well-respected New Zealand owned and operated diesel-powered generator company, installing & servicing generators for over 45 years in New Zealand and the South Pacific.We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team.About the roleAs the leader of the Projects Team, you will oversee the projects division and collaborate closely with the General Manager. This role requires you to embrace the opportunity to engage actively and build a strong rapport with your colleagues, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership and accountability. You are responsible for the management of the overall direction, co-ordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects to ensure the long-term success and profitability of their business.Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Strong experience/knowledge within the construction Industry inclusive of construction management.A proven track record in relation to project delivery on time and within budget.Ability to manage existing relationships alongside building/fostering long lasting new relationships.Build rapport with clients and vendors through delivery excellence, market eminence, and exceptional self-driven leadership.Develop project plans that identify resource and budgetary needs including financial and commercial review, analysis and presentation.Chair regular project meetings with the wider project team & associated divisional managers ensuring a 'finger on the pulse' overview.Provide feedback, advice, updates on projects and encourage team members by way of mentoring, coaching and developing the team's skill sets alongside looking towards succession planning within the business.Manage deadlines and push the team to ensure timeliness and provide the necessary support & direction to succeed.Strategic planning and effective/efficient management of all aspects of the projects division.Ability to multitask by way of managing multiple projects simultaneously.Ability to work autonomously as well as working as part of the team.Managing a portfolio of projects and deconflicting project requirements inclusive of competing priorities.Risk mitigation and proactive management of controls and registers.Adherence to policies, procedures, relevant codes, to ensure that the regulatory requirements are met.Provide input and feedback to existing documentation to ensure compliance with the contractual documentation.Skills and Experience:Minimum of 8+ years project delivery management experience.Strong leadership skills including staff management in relation to the performance of project managers, staff, suppliers and wider team members within the business.Proven planning & program management track record combined with the experience including on the job/project tracking software. E.g.
