Occupational Therapist
Mo te tunga | About the role:
You will plan epic activities and events, turning ordinary days into moments of joy and new discoveries, you will have the opportunity to plan and implement a programme of recreational, diversional, social and craft activities for our residents ensuring you promote happiness, well being and quality of life for all our residents at Peacehaven.
This role is permanent, 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9.30 am to 4.30 pm.
Nga kawenga | Key Responsibilities:
Completing and regularly reviewing resident's support plans
Ensuring activities are planned to reflect the needs identified for our residents
Ensuring resources and equipment are maintained and accessible to staff
Communicating with colleagues, volunteers, residents, and their families/whanau so everyone knows in advance the fun fueled activities available
Nga pukenga | What you will need to be successful:
Previous experience in a similar role working with the elderly
Current full driver's license and comfortable driving a van
Strong team player who thrives on working collaboratively
Qualification in Health and Wellbeing or Diversional Therapy an advantage
Dementia LCP (Limited Credit Programme) Level 4 or willingness to complete an advantage
