This role is based in Commerce Street, Whangarei however as this is a community based-environment there will be some travel required around the region.Care is provided in the community either at the patients' place of residence, community clinics, or other suitable environments as mutually agreed with the patient.This position is permanent part time 0.6 FTE (24 hours per week rostered shifts)Our work can be challenging but is also very rewarding.
If you are flexible, able to work independently and as part of a friendly and experienced team, enjoy variety and the challenge of providing care to clients in the community, then we are looking for you.Primary functions of the role include working to meet the needs of patients and their family/whanau using contemporary nursing care, which is safe, appropriate and effective.
The care is based on comprehensive assessment, ensures continuity, and is patient/client centred, culturally sensitive and evidence-based.About youSkills & ExperienceRegistration with Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practicing CertificateExperience in Community Health Care is highly desirableCurrent Full NZ driver's licenceCollaborates with fellow team members and work groups to achieve specific objectivesCommunicates information effectively and accurately, both orally and in writingCompetency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
