About the Role and Service Our community clinical services team enjoy a rewarding lifestyle outside of the main cities. This role is based in the Mid North and as it is a community based environment there will be some travel required.This position is permanent part time working 32 hours per week rostered shifts.Our work can be challenging but is also very rewarding. You will work in partnership with clients to promote health, prevent disease, maintain wellness and provide nursing care to referred clients in the community.Our purpose is to encourage and educate families and individuals towards wellness and self-reliance in health.Care is provided in the community either at the patient's place of residence, community clinics, or other suitable environments as mutually agreed with the patient.Primary functions of the role include working to meet the needs of patients and their family/whanau using contemporary nursing care, which is safe, appropriate and effective. The care is based on comprehensive assessment, ensures continuity, and is patient/client centred, culturally sensitive and evidence-based.About You Skills & Experience Registration with Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practicing Certificate.Minimum one year post basic experience or recent primary health experience.Current Full NZ driver's licence.Demonstrated ability to practice in a culturally safe manner.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
