District Delivery Programme Manager – Infrastructure and Investment GroupAre you a seasoned leader with a passion for delivering successful infrastructure outcomes? We are seeking a dynamic Programme Delivery District Manager to join our Infrastructure and Investment Group (IIG) team. In this pivotal role, you will lead and manage Infrastructure programmes and programme teams, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy, compliance with policies, and fostering positive partnerships across Canterbury, South Canterbury, and West Coast.
As a Programme Delivery District Manager, you will be accountable for: Establishing and managing programmes and projects within approved budgets and timelines.Leading, mentoring, and coaching professional project managers and team members.Identifying and acquiring construction project resources, overseeing project Health and Safety, risk and quality control, and ensuring the realization of benefits throughout the programme accountable to the IIG Regional Leadership Team.Identifying and executing organisation-wide Health Infrastructure needs aligned to the strategic vision of IIG and H&SS.Engaging with key stakeholders and clinical leads to ensure priorities are aligned to work programmes.Having an acute understanding of health construction, construction legislation, construction contract management and statutory requirements.Expected Outcomes Ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of fit-for-purpose healthcare amenities, in line with the local, regional and national programmes (infrastructure Investment capital plan).Establishing and maintaining high-level relationships with stakeholders and governance groups.Ensuring appropriate programme and project management strategies are in place.Ensuring the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Pae Ora health and sustainability are fundamental aspects of programme delivery.Modelling and inspiring others to live out organizational values and key behaviours.Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, Skills: Demonstrated experience leading portfolios/multiple programmes of work.Relevant professional qualification and strong knowledge of construction programme and project management.Experience in a Te Ao Maori environment and understanding Tikanga Maori.Experience in construction contract management, budget management, and strong financial reporting.Influencing, negotiation and communication skills.Advanced computer skills, especially with Microsoft software.Highly desirable experience within health construction.Tertiary-level qualification in a relevant field.Experience with project/programme/portfolio management (P3M) software.Proficient at writing business cases, executive board papers, briefing papers and memos.Experience in the public sector or healthcare environment.Lean programme experience and understanding of clinical processes.If you're ready to drive successful infrastructure outcomes, promote equity, and lead a dynamic team, apply now for this exciting opportunity.
