District Administrator at NZ Ministry of Justice, NorthlandDistrict AdministratorBased in WhangareiFull time - Fixed termWe invite applications for the position of District Administrator.
This is an incredible opportunity to join our collaborative team, providing direct support to both management and our frontline staff.The position is a fixed term full-time role until 30 June 2025, while the incumbent is in another position.We are looking for an admin officer who is confident, proactive, and has a warm personality.
You will have excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and be IT savvy, managing competing priorities efficiently.
A can-do positive attitude, discretion, sound judgement, and nimbleness are essential.The successful candidate will work closely with the district management team and the wider cohort of District Administrators across the Maori Land Court nationally.In this role you will be required to:Provide administrative support relating to expenses, travel, and general account keeping, involving regular contact with various providers across the Ministry of Justice.Provide professional and courteous reception and telephonist services on a shared basis.Support the local management team on a day-to-day basis.To be successful in this role the following is required:Excellent interpersonal and communication/listening skills.Previous experience in office management practices, including:Reception managementAccurate data entry skillsHigh standard of discretionProblem-solving skillsAn ability to work collaboratively and independentlyIntermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite, Excel, or similar financial management softwareWe offer you:A challenging and interesting environment.A collaborative and supportive team culture where you will interact with a range of people, both within the Justice Sector and with external stakeholders.A focus on your professional development.About UsWe are a court of record.
