Are you an experienced professional in the electrical distribution industry, ready to lead and inspire a skilled team? Join us as the Distribution Supervisor at our Nelson Depot and play a vital role in organising and supervising electrical distribution services, including control room operations, overhead line and underground cable construction, maintenance, and fault response. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you'll lead a team dedicated to delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes.
In this dynamic role, you'll ensure the timely and cost-effective completion of projects while prioritising health and safety and promoting excellent customer relations. From supervising control room operations to managing after-hours fault response systems, you'll thrive in an environment where your leadership and technical expertise will make a tangible impact. Your ability to communicate effectively, motivate staff, and uphold industry standards will be key to ensuring our continued success.
We're looking for a qualified Line Mechanic or Electrician with extensive knowledge of industry safety practices and current electricity regulations. Strong organisational skills, proven leadership abilities, and a customer-focused approach are essential for this role. Essential Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
Registered Line Mechanic or Electrician.
Current Practising Licence.
Drivers Licence Class 1 and preferably Class 2.
Experience in distribution system operations and contracting.
Experience working with network system procedures.
Extensive knowledge of industry safety practices.
Extensive knowledge of the current Electricity Regulations and Codes of Practice.
Experience working in a distribution control room.
