The Role The key objective of this role is to manage the efficient flow of freight in and out of our North Harbour branch , located at Albany, Auckland . The work of our distribution team is all about ensuring we pack/unpack and move freight on time, every time, and in the manner that's expected so our couriers can do their jobs.
You get logistics, you thrive on a challenge, and you know how to improve depot operations through continuous improvement. You're comfortable with systems, reporting results, and day-to-day operational responsibilities. You know when to get your hands dirty and lead from the front with a focus on quality, delivery, performance, and H&S - and you never lose sight of the customer experience and ensure we deliver our promise.
Requirements Must be a leader who provides clear direction and motivates their team Have effective communication skills A sound understanding of Health & Safety Report on and manage KPIs Ability to work under pressure Have or can obtain a forklift licence Some heavy lifting (up to 25kg) will be required Salary + incentive Company vehicle + vehicle allowance Career development opportunities with New Zealand Couriers and the Freightways group of companies All applicants will be required to provide proof of their eligibility to work in New Zealand and undertake pre-employment screening including a criminal history check.
