We are seeking an exceptional leader who can continue to grow and improve the operational performance at our Piako based Distribution Centres. If you are looking for a change where you can showcase your strong management expertise plus Distribution Centre knowledge, then this might be the role for you.

As Distribution Centre Operations Manager for our three Piako sites, reporting to our Regional Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for our Morrinsville, Waitoa and Waitoa UHT Distribution Centres. You will motivate and inspire a large team of 24 direct reports to ensure smooth operations, being responsible for operational best practice, and ensuring Health & Safety guidelines are in place.

Key accountabilities include:

Inspire and motivate teams to lift performance and drive a continuous improvement culture.

Finance - management of site annual budgets and forecasts and operating plans.

Long-term planning and strategy development.

Operational Management – ensure both sites operate efficiently, following regulatory compliance and health and safety standards.

Inventory Management – accountable for stock control and inventory management.

Customer Focus - support development and maintenance of a culture that results in optimal customer satisfaction.

Mainly based at the larger Waitoa site, with regular travel between all the closely located sites to ensure a strong connection to the teams on-site and building good working relationships will be part of your weekly agenda.

Strong commercial acumen and demonstrated experience managing a budget.

Experience in leading projects and confident in managing multiple stakeholders.

Proficient using SAP systems, workforce management systems and Microsoft Excel.
