Zealandia Horticulture grows and delivers millions of plants across NZ every year and we are on the search for an exceptional Dispatch Team Leader to support and lead a team of order pickers.
This role is based at our facility in Belfast, Christchurch.As this is a permanent role, you must be a New Zealand Citizen or Resident, or hold a work visa with no restrictions to apply.
We sadly cannot sponsor applicants from overseas.The role: As a confident team leader, you'll be:Leading a team of approximately 10 order pickersScanning orders and identifying anomaliesAssisting with truck loading and unloadingMulti-tasking daily requirements effectivelyOverseeing quality controlMotivating team membersEnsuring your work area is maintained to a high standardYour role is to support the Dispatch Supervisor and work alongside your team.
This is a hands-on, physical role where you will be standing for most of the day, and pushing/moving racks of plants, so good physical health is important.
To be successful in this role you'll need to have:1-2 years' experience leading people in an order picking or manufacturing environmentSelf-motivation and energy to get the job done, even if it means working a little laterAttention to detailStrong communication skills both internally and externallyNumeracy literate (able to calculate simple addition in your head)A good sense of humour!A clean NZ driver's licence and preferably a forklift licenceThis is a full-time, Monday to Friday role with a Sunday to Friday roster from early September to mid-December (to prepare orders on Sunday ready for Monday delivery).
