Dispatch Coordinator

Road Transport (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)We are seeking a skilled Dispatch Coordinator to join one of our clients team in the Hastings area to start immediately.As a Dispatch Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the scheduling, routing, and dispatching of a team of workers to various job sites. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesSchedule and prioritize work orders based on urgency and customer needsCoordinate with field workers to ensure efficient routing and on-time arrivalsMonitor and track the status of jobs in real-time to address any delays or issuesCommunicate with clients to provide updates on service arrivals and to address any concernsMaintain accurate records of job assignments and ensure all paperwork is completed properlyAssist in the training and onboarding of new field workersProvide support for field workers by addressing any issues that arise during their assignmentsQualificationsProven experience in dispatching, logistics, or a related fieldStrong organizational and time-management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesProficiency in using scheduling software and GPS tracking systemsAbility to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situationsExperience in the transport industry is a plusShowing dedication and drive will earn the potential to grow your skills and boost your pay even further, by offering you a range of training programmes to help you do it!Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
