Director - Sector Relationships (Wellington)Lead a team of experts in Sector Relationships and PartnershipsBring your experience and expertise in developing and implementing strategy at a senior level in a public service organisation.Wellington basedAt Kainga Ora, ours is the important responsibility of transforming New Zealand's housing choices, outcomes and the entire housing sector by creating homes and communities that allow New Zealanders to thrive.This role is based in Wellington to work closer with the DCE office, the government, and various government partners.Reporting to the DCE - Government Sector Relationships, the Director - Sector Relationships plays a critical role in building and maintaining strong relationships and partnerships across the organisation, the wider government, relevant sector partners and stakeholders.This will involve leading the Sector Relationships teams, a centre of expertise, to support Kainga Ora to partner more and better to deliver on our priorities. Strong, experienced and influential leadership will be vital, so the team has the mandate and profile in the business to deliver on its work programme.Minimum Requirements:Significant leadership experience in partnerships and sector relationship at a senior levelExtensive experience developing and implementing strategy at a senior levelQualifications in partnership practice e.g. Partnership Brokers Association accreditation and/or proven experience and success in strategic partnership advisory rolesStrong understanding of the Government Sector and proficient ability to navigate the complexities of being a Crown AgencyProven experience developing and nurturing a centre of excellenceIn-depth understanding of and experience in engagement, partnerships and relationship management practices and methodologiesDemonstrated success in building and leading high performing teams in a challenging environmentA good working understanding of Te reo and Te Ao Maori.Applications close at 11:55pm on Friday, 01 November 2024.Please note we will be screening applications and interviewing candidates as we go.
