Creates a unique guest experience that draws hotel and non-hotel guests by understanding the local market. Focused on market sales and solicitation of new customer relationships, VIP membership sales while maintaining existing strong relationships with our client accounts consistently striving to maximize revenue and promote the day-life, nightlife, and restaurant/ bar operations of the resort. Strives for high guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget. Accountable for promoting compliance with legal obligations professionally and consistently. Will work closely with the Marketing team to monitor and implement campaigns that will drive revenue. Will monitor competitive set restaurants and bars to ensure Fairmont El San Juan remains market leader in creating the best day-life and nightlife campaigns in Puerto Rico.QualificationsJob requirements:Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.Must routinely meet deadlines.Must be able to multi task.Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc. from disparate sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.Must be able to handle work under pressure, multi-tasking multiple job duties and requests simultaneously.EDUCATION & SKILLSFour-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.EXPERIENCEThree to five years' nightlife experience selling venues is required.Hospitality experience required.Ability to communicate in English and Spanish, both orally and in writing, with guests and employees, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger and to collect accurate information and to resolve problems.Additional Information
