The purpose of this role is to promote and nurture the Catholic special character of the school.
The DRS is a member of our Senior Leadership Team.St Mary's celebrates being a Catholic faith community with a strong Mercy tradition.

The role of the DRS involves leading and supporting our staff and our young people on their faith journey.
As a faith leader in our school you will:lead and inspire staff and rangatahi in an inclusive mannersupport the HOLA RE in the delivery of the Religious Education curriculumbuild culturally responsive and relational practices in our collegebuild connections with our wider communityThis is a full-time permanent Cl47 tagged Special Character Position.
Your willingness and ability to participate in religious education appropriate to the special character of the school will be a condition of appointment.The successful applicant will be a registered teacher and will be expected to teach classes in Religious Studies.
