Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre is a world-class venue, centrally located in the heart of Christchurch, the gateway to the magnificent South Island of New Zealand.
The Centre is proudly managed by ASM Global, Asia Pacific's leading venue management company and one of theworld's premier convention and exhibition management specialists.
Due to international promotion within ASM Global, a rare opportunity has become available to lead the Building Services team of one of New Zealand's most iconic new and technologically advanced buildings, Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre.
This is an Executive Level role requiring a detail driven person who will be an integral member of the Te Pae leadership team. The role is varied and includes leading the following key departments:
· Facilities Management and Maintenance
· Health and Safety
· Security
· Logistics
· Traffic Management
· Sustainability and Environmental Management

You will have:
· 10 years proven expertise relevant to building and facility management including the production and management of a comprehensive asset management plan to meet the requirements of a large facility.
· Strong leadership skills demonstrated within the building and facility management environment.
· Experience with contract procurement and contractor management in a large complex building.
· Proven expertise in managing health, safety and risk throughout a fast moving organisation.
· Experience in security environments including CCTV, crowd and alcohol management, risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
· Experience in environmental and sustainability strategies in an operating and facility environment, preferably to meet certification requirements of Toitu Enviromark, Toitu Net Carbon Zero and Qualmark Gold.
· Experience managing budgets effectively and benchmarking costs.
· Excellent relationship building with relevant stakeholders.
· Ability to manage multiple work strands and projects, demonstrating strong skills for planning, organisation and prioritisation.
· Solid proficiency in relevant software and technology, including FM software and Microsoft Office
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present high quality written reports.
· The ability to present complex information to non-specialist audiences within Te Pae and to external stakeholders including the building owner.
