Board Appointments (CEO & General Management)Government (Government & Defence) Provide governance leadership that will impact the future of Tamaki MakaurauGuidance on complex negotiations and large-scale projects that benefit AucklandersEnsuring the effective management of a publicly owned property portfolioAuckland Council is pleased to have an opportunity to welcome new directors to the Eke Panuku Development Auckland board in 2024.Your mahi will support:Eke Panuku being accountable to Auckland Council and to AucklandersSelling Auckland Council's surplus property, developing unused and underutilised property assets to unlock revenue and enable new housing and commercial developmentThe regeneration of council's agreed urban locations by making the most of Auckland Council-owned landImprovements to the amenity, attractiveness, connectivity, and resilience of town centres as places to live, work, visit and do business, building confidence for others to investPlacemaking and engaging with communities and stakeholders on the changes taking place, testing ideas and strengthening the connection between people and placeManagement of council's assets/property including commercial, residential and marina infrastructure, or redevelopment incorporating a service delivery function.To be successful in this role you will have a depth of experience in the property sector and strong experience of governance including within regulated industries. You will be accountable and responsible to Auckland Council, and the ability to form and lead relationships with iwi will also be necessary.We will be looking for:property investment and management experience, along with deep experience of the property industry.governance experience to drive outcomes from a board leveliwi relationships and understanding of Te Ao Maori, and in particular knowledge of tikanga Maoria legal background and/or deep experience of valuation, health and safety will be useful, if held in combination with other skills.Board members are accountable and responsive to both Auckland Council and the people of Auckland. Acting with the upmost personal integrity, you will demonstrate a public service ethos and moral leadership with wise and thorough decision-making, that improves accountability to Aucklanders.This includes commitment to support the implementation of the shareholder's policies and directions, with strong financial accountability.Eke Panuku is a council-controlled organisation (CCO), and its role includes facilitating urban redevelopment that optimises and integrates good public transport outcomes, efficient and sustainable infrastructure and quality public services and amenities.Eke Panuku also manages council's non-service property portfolio and provides strategic advice on council's other property portfolios.The initial term of appointment is for three years. $54,000 remuneration annually.Applications close: Wednesday 28 August 2024Report this job advert Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
