About the role (your why) We are looking for a dynamic Director of Data Centres to lead the management, growth, and sales strategy of our data centre business.
In this role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure top-tier performance and security, and drive revenue growth through strategic client engagement and service expansion.
You will collaborate with the sales team to attract new clients, negotiate contracts, and optimise service offerings.
This position will have an International Sales Focus and responsibility for the entire Trans-Tasman Data Centre Operations for Datacom.

What you'll bring Experience developing and implementing strategic plans and objectives Experience in driving International Sales strategy Demonstrated executive leaderships experience, managing and mentoring people and teams Financial management experience, including cost estimation and budget tracking and reporting Proven track record of achieving or exceeding budgeted sales and profit objectives.
Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements Deep General Management /Operational Management/Sales Management experience Responsibilities Ensuring business activities meet and integrate with organisation requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care.
Creating an "automation first" culture, ensuring the ongoing automation of technologies and the development of future thinking strategies.
Develop roadmaps that align with Datacom Group strategy while meeting current and future customer requirements Ensuring business activities meet and integrate with organisation requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care Building long lasting, robust customer relationships and ensures that customer relationships are carefully managed throughout all aspects of service delivery across the organisation Develop long term strategic relationships with customer, partners, industry leaders and governments Provide relevant and up to date leadership and guidance on their industry and the implications to their area of work and the wider business Manage overall operations and customer engagement strategies, ensuring that planning, enduser impact, change management, training, quality management are properly addressed and monitored to ensure that availability, deadlines, budgets and service levels are met and results delivered.
Managing the relationships with (and between) external agencies and suppliers, ensuring contracts and service levels are negotiated in line with strategic aims and financial constraints and ongoing service is in-line with agreed contracts Culture and Benefits Datacom is one of Australia and New Zealand's largest suppliers of Information Technology professional services.
