My Timaru client is seeking an experienced and strategic Director or Shareholder to join their dynamic team. As a fellow Director, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing the financial strategy of the firm, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving excellence in financial reporting.
Responsibilities: Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's objectives.Provide insightful financial recommendations to support decision-making at the executive level.Conduct regular financial analysis to identify areas for improvement and growth.Financial Reporting and Compliance: Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports.Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting team.Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.Drive collaboration and effective communication within the finance department and across the organization.Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks to safeguard the company's financial health.Implement robust internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients to understand their financial needs and provide strategic financial advice.Build and maintain strong client relationships to enhance the firm's reputation and client satisfaction.
