Have you been out there in the land of ecommerce, crushing a merchandising role and learning all there is to learn about giving customers a seamless online experience? If that's you, then we've got a great gig here for you: serving as the link between the merchandising and content teams for a huge fashion retailer. It's a chance to sharpen your skills and develop new ones, setting yourself up for more and more senior ecommerce roles.
You'll own and support the setup of each launch and update. For example, when it's time for a monthly site launch, you'll manage the upload of data, optimize the folder structure and do maintenance such as removing out-of-season styles and sold-out items. You'll be using Magento for updates, processes, and documentation. There'll be cross-selling initiatives in which you partner with the content and merchandising teams to manage the initiatives' set-up on the site. You'll own and maintain special product detail pages and a look-book. When there are sales, you'll set up and maintain the merchandise's display pages, paying close attention to inventory changes. In fact, you'll constantly be keeping an eye on the site to call out shifts and recommendations based on what you see.
You'll run site analytics on a weekly basis and report on which shops are performing best on desktop and mobile, as well as provide general insights toward meeting sales goals. You'll watch search results and make suggestions about redirecting them. When there are merchandise-related site issues, you'll troubleshoot, and sometimes you'll even be called on to serve as the site maintenance champ. You'll frequently collaborate with QA, content, buying, marketing, and copy, as your duties take you into areas such as pre-orders, email strategy/timing, and site navigation.
You've already put in a good solid three years of true ecommerce work, such that you thoroughly understand its process flow, site functionality, and the way analytics can and should be leveraged to create the very best user experiences. You're completely conversant in web-based tools, Excel, and Magento. You truly thrive on working with other talented people, and you communicate freely and well. You enjoy solving problems, especially as part of a group.
