What your role and typical day might look like. A Digital Manager at dentsu plays a pivotal role across online planning responsibilities within the team, pulling together media plans that complement the overarching media strategy and encompassing traditional media planning to meet the client brief.
They are also responsible for managing and mentoring junior team members and are a key contact person building upon our existing relationships with the client locally and globally.
Responsibilities could include: Oversee the buying and implementation of all online activities and develop, maintain, and optimise online media schedules across client portfolio and platforms.Ensure quality control across all documents sent to the client including tracking/optimizing reports, post analysis, competitive media evaluations, and schedules.Contribute to the planning documents being built in line with strategies developed by the strategy team.Brief media partners and evaluate their proposals in line with the ICP process and assist the Digital Director on annual publisher negotiations.Briefing requirements from clients and to internal teams and external media partners/suppliers, including making recommendations to clients driving home the creativity, innovation and effectiveness of new ideas.General administrative tasks such as scheduling, billing/invoice, timesheets, etc.Stay up to date with industry trends and supplier innovations and evaluate the right solutions to adopt for our clients to achieve amazing brand and performance results.Manage, support, and mentor junior team members across portfolio and practice to grow the overall capability within dentsu media.A bit about you. At least 3 years' experience within a media or advertising agency or similar environment in a digital-led planning/buying and client service capacity.
Understanding of the NZ digital media landscape, staying up to date with new innovations and technologies, such as Meta, Google Ads, GA4 and Campaign Manager (CM360).
Familiar with the digital planning tools including, but not limited to, Meta Campaign Planner, DV360/Google Ads Reach Planner, CCS Planner, etc.
A collaborative attitude and proactive communicator, able to present ideas to teams and clients, bring people together on a journey, and get stuck in to make things happen.
Effective time management and planning skills, with an eye for detail for accurate invoicing, planning, and execution.
Confidence in media negotiation, presenting new ideas, articulate value and innovative solutions.
Competent/intermediate level experience with MS Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
A good understanding of media maths and comfort dealing with data and reporting is important.
