We are seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our Christchurch team, working out of our newly constructed, purpose-built workshop.
This is a pivotal role, where the successful candidate will be involved in the service and repair work of a range of arboricultural machinery.
Key Responsibilities: Perform maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs on Utes, cars, trucks, mobile plant and off-road equipment in a safe, efficient, quality-minded and customer-focused manner.
Perform maintenance and repair on EWP equipment to manufacturer's guidelines to maintain the safety and reliability of the unit.
Provide rapid mobile response to plant and equipment breakdowns in locations around Canterbury.
Continually maintain and upskill your knowledge of new machinery, technical skills and servicing techniques, with our support.
Adhere to and promote all health and safety practices within the business.
The successful candidate will have: Qualifications in Diesel/Heavy Machinery Servicing.
At least 3 years' experience in the repair and maintenance of a variety of vehicles.
The ability to work in a team or independently.
Personal organisational skills with the ability to plan and schedule work.
A high level of technical skill and enjoyment in repair and mechanical work on a variety of equipment & machinery.
Problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
Full class 2 licence – additional endorsements is advantageous.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
