We are seeking a trade qualified diesel technician to join an independently owned truck service centre in the beautiful Taranaki region.

Excellent pay rates, between $30 and $40 per hour based on a 40 hour week, depending on experience and overtime paid at 1.5 times normal rate

Responsibilities
Service and maintenance of a broad range of trucks, trailers, and construction equipment
Major and minor repairs including COF repairs and accident repairs
Using modern electronic diagnostic tools to diagnose and repair faults
Operate from the workshop and attend breakdowns and call outs when required
Skills sought
A recognised heavy automotive qualification
Experience working on late model trucks and trailers
Sound technical skills and mechanical ability
Experience using electronic diagnostic equipment
Fault finding ability
Good communication skills
Make modifications and adaptations
Understand the pressure on the transport industry and be willing to exceed expectations to get customers back on the road
