We are seeking a talented Development Manager to join our Property team.
Established in 1994, Ngai Tahu Property is one of the largest property developers in Te Waipounamu with a range of successful residential and commercial developments, and a market value approaching $750 million. As a wholly-owned Business Unit of Ngai Tahu Holdings, Ngai Tahu Property contributes to our overall mission to protect and grow the Ngai Tahu tribal putea and Settlement assets for future generations - mo tatou, a, mo ka uri a muri ake nei (for us and our children after us).
The Role
Reporting to the National Development Manager you will be responsible for the initiation, management and completion of property development projects aligned with Ngai Tahu Property's medium and long term strategies. In this role you will require strong relationship building and influencing skills with an ability to source growth opportunities that will translate into developments.
We are looking for a talented and driven individual with:
Highly developed relationship building and influencing skills
Excellent collaboration skills in a team environment
Financial literacy and the ability to manage multiple budgets and projects simultaneously
Familiarity with the Treaty of Waitangi and its application to the work of Te Runanga Group
Affinity for and understanding of Ngai Tahu values and the ability to role model them
A relevant tertiary qualification in Property, Valuation, Engineering, Project Management or a related degree is preferred
At least 10-12 years' experience in property development management
