It is an exciting time to be a part of the professional fundraising and alumni engagement team in DARO, so that the goodwill, nostalgia and willingness to support the university is leveraged and maximised for the future of the University.The role/Te mahiThe Development Manager for the Division of Humanities is responsible for raising philanthropic funds for University priority projects.In conjunction with the Senior Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a coordinated, integrated and enduring development fundraising strategy for the Division of Humanities.In this exciting role, you will actively identify, cultivate, solicit and steward major gifts and sponsorships from individuals, businesses, trusts and foundations.You will work on exciting projects that contribute to the betterment of NZ and humanity as a whole - this is an exciting time and an exceptional opportunity for the right candidate.Your skills and experience/Ka Pukeka Me Ka WheakoOur ideal candidate will have:A tertiary qualification in a relevant field.Proven fundraising experience, or similar experience in building relationships with corporate clients and/or high net worth individuals.Expertise interacting effectively and rapidly gaining credibility with a diverse range of individuals, groups, and organisations.An ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate an international outlook and sensitivity for cultural differences.A willingness and ability to occasionally work beyond regular office hours, including travel and evening commitments to attend University and Development events, is essential.If you're looking for an opportunity to work on exciting projects that contribute to the betterment of NZ and humanity as a whole – apply now!Further details/PurokoThis is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), permanent position based in Dunedin.The appointment range for this role is $90,165 to $98,515.
Top of range is $106,863.We offer competitive salary, five weeks' annual leave, a 6.75% superannuation scheme, and the ability to achieve real work/life balance.
