AboutCaveney Architectural Collaborative Caveney Architectural Collaborative is an architectural design firm full of eager, curious, and innovative people, working in an environment of ego-free collaboration. Caveney Architectural Collaborative is currently seeking aneager, capable architectural Designer to join our team. Responsibilities willinclude production of drawings and specifications for all phases of design, aswell as contributing to project coordination, planning and research, consultantcoordination, QA/QC, and a significant amount of construction administrationand oversight. An ideal candidate will demonstrate tremendous attention todetail, the ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects, possessincredible organization skills and excellent communication skills. The Designerwill typically work as an equal player on a small project team along with aProject Manager and a Job Captain or more senior Designer. Candidates should have a professional architectural degree andapproximately 3 to 5 years' professional, practical experience, although we areprimarily interested in candidates having the required skills rather than aparticular number of years of experience. Candidates are expected to have aworking knowledge of building codes, MAAB regulations, and energy codes and befamiliar with light frame residential and commercial construction. TheDesigner will work on a variety of project types including residential,hospitality, adaptive reuse, workplace, community, and cannabis industry. Whileprior experience with these project types is a plus, we are primarily lookingfor a candidate with enthusiasm, willingness to quickly learn and adapt, and acommitment to achieving a successful result for the client. Responsibilities: Productionof design documents in all phases of design and construction, in collaborationwith the full project team. This ranges from conceptual sketches to fullydetailed construction documents. Coordinatingproject documentation, including plans, details, and specifications, witharchitectural and consultant teams while contributing to quality control andcompletion. Participatingin coordination meetings with consultants, clients, project team, andcontractors. Understandingengineering systems relevant to projects and researching any unfamiliarsystems. Reviewingshop drawings, material samples, and submittals for conformance with design. Performingconstruction administration duties with oversight, including RFIs, RFPs, changeorders, etc. Contributingto office QA/QC protocols and design standards. Participationin the ongoing development and realization of our company goals and vision, aswell as your own professional skills, with the ability to focus on areas thatare of the most interest to you. Qualifications: ProfessionalDegree in architecture. Extensiveexperience producing in Revit. 3 yearsof professional architectural work experience. Strongcommunication skills, written, verbal, and graphic. Familiaritywith building codes, specifications, building, and engineering systems. Abilityto work with minimal supervision. Proficiencywith Adobe Creative Suite and rendering programs. Path tolicensure preferred, but not required. Abilityto travel to project sites / day trips.
