About the role
As a Design Technician at Mod Com Portable Buildings Ltd, you'll be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and design-related documentation packages for our off-site buildings. This full-time role based in Tauriko, Bay of Plenty, will see you play a crucial part in the development and delivery of our innovative product range.
What you'll be doing
Producing shop CAD drawings and models for our portable building manufacturing facilities
Producing bulk and location and concept drawings for our installations
Producing manuals for our products and design specifications
Supporting the preparation of construction documentation, including plans, elevations, and details
Building consent submissions
Collaborating with the design team to interpret client requirements
Ensuring designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards
Assisting with the development of new product designs and ongoing design improvements
Liaising with project managers, engineers, and production staff to resolve any technical issues
What we're looking for
Team player
Relevant qualification in architectural drafting, design, or a related discipline
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Archicad, Revit
Strong technical drawing and 3D modelling skills
Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction methods
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Strong and effective communication and collaboration skills
Passion for design and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes
