The Role:
Monkeytoe has several exciting opportunities for Design Managers to join their Auckland office. This newly created position is part of an internal re-structuring to strengthen the regional and national design teams and increase customer service and project efficiency.
Key Accountabilities and Requirements:
Experience using 2D and 3D drafting systems, preferably Autodesk Inventor or similar parametric modelling software.
Clear and efficient communication skills.
Project management skills to manage and lead multiple ongoing projects ranging from rapid to long turnaround times.
Excellent team and people management skills.
Mentorship, management and coaching of designers allocated to your team/project.
Active engagement skills to manage customers to develop project designs from concept through to final approval.
Proactive engagement with operations and business development to ensure design team and product capabilities (people and technology) are sufficient to achieve targets.
Manage your design team to ensure reasonable lead times are maintained.
Promote and enforce a high-level precision and accuracy within all work produced by your team.
Ensuring OHSMS implementation in their department conforms to the company objectives.
