As a champion of customer-centric design, you'll deeply understand user needs and behaviours, advocating for the customer at every stage of discovery and development.
In this role, you'll lead the end-to-end design process, offering creative, UX, and UI direction to ensure the work aligns seamlessly with strategic goals and brand standards.
If you're passionate about crafting meaningful experiences and delivering exceptional designs, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.  What you'll bring   Experience in designing and deploying customer-focused strategies   A minimum of five years' experience in creative or technology industries, preferably with a focus on digital and interactive design   Experience working with developers, product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams on outcome-based deliverables  Experience and exposure to modern software delivery practices, such as agile  Ability to map user flows and customer experiences to identify cohesive aspects of the experience  Knowledge of key experience design principles and processes (e.g., journey and process mapping, design thinking, user centred design)   Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for managing and resolving experience design problems  Responsibilities   Leading a culture of innovation by promoting the exploration and adoption of emerging technologies and best practices within the design function  Leading and conducting UX testing and research to identify user needs, pain points, behaviours, and gain creators through both quantitative and qualitative methods.   Analyse and evaluate research outcomes and analytics to enhance the overall customer experience and address areas for improvement.   Advocating for customer needs by recommending solutions that prioritise quick and easy experiences, ensuring alignment with user insights and business objectives.  Collaborating with product and engineering stakeholders to develop customer-focused solutions by understanding business and user needs, strategies, and technical constraints.   Coaching team members of the design and product teams in using best practice research and design methodologies and principals.   Championing human-centred design principles by facilitating the creation of customer journey artifacts, such as wireframes and prototypes, while iterating solutions based on user and stakeholder feedback.   Owning and maintaining product design guidelines, ensuring consistent application of the brand in products, while actively participating in agile team ceremonies to support collaborative development.  Culture and Benefits   Datacom is one of Australia and New Zealand's largest suppliers of Information Technology professional services.
