Key Responsibilities:
Design custom modifications for lighting products based on unique customer specifications.
Create and maintain design documentation and specifications for both off-the-shelf and custom product lines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Engineering, Production, and Marketing, to develop build instructions, production methods, and customer-focused data sheets.
Partner with manufacturing vendors to source custom parts for designs and assist Production with jigs and build troubleshooting to improve efficiency.
Coordinate with Sales on project updates and requirements to ensure timely completion of custom requests.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Development, or Design Management.
3 years of experience in Industrial Design or related field.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Cloud; familiarity with PDM and Fusion 360 is a plus.
Experience in the lighting or power supply industry is beneficial, as well as knowledge in molding or aluminum extrusion design.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Skills:
Hands-on problem-solving skills and comfort using power tools and manufacturing equipment.
Broad material knowledge applicable to product design and production.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including fabrication and assembly.
Strong communication skills with an ability to thrive in high-pressure situations.
