About the Role As a Dermatologist, you will provide clinical services that include outpatient, community assessment and management of people requiring specialist dermatology care, and community-based support services.

About the Team/Service/ Location You will work with another Dermatologist, Dermatology Clinical Nurse Specialist and Dermatology Nurses within the Specialist & Community Services Group. Clinics are provided in Hastings, Napier, Wairoa and Waipukurau. Strong clinical liaison with other surgical specialists such as General Surgery, ENT and Ophthalmology and non-surgical departments such as Paediatrics and the full range of medical specialties will be maintained.
About you Applicants must be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Medical Council of New Zealand as a Specialist and hold appropriate specialist qualifications in Dermatology, such as being a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, or equivalent.
You will have the following skills and attributes:
You will be proficient in the full range of medical dermatology, including some paediatric dermatology, patch-testing, photo-dermatology, tele-dermatology, simple cutaneous surgery and management of skin cancer.You will be enthusiastic about empowering the patient, their whanau and healthcare providers to look after their skin in health and disease, liaising with primary and other secondary care services to provide equitable access and patient-centered care.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.How to Apply To apply for the role please click "apply now."
