Dermatology at Timaru Hospital The objective of this role is to provide specialist dermatology outpatient and consultation services for patients referred to South Canterbury's dermatology service and contribute to ongoing development of this service regionally. Day to day the focus is on assessment and diagnosis of new patients using clinical skills and investigative procedures, along with planning and ordering of treatment. Review of existing conditions for follow up return patients is also a key part of the role. As an experienced Dermatologist you will be able to work alongside and encourage positive working relationships with multidisciplinary teams and outpatients. There will be an element of tuition and training for staff and other professionals in the community where necessary. You must have empathy for bi-culturalism and practices in a manner, which the patient determines, is culturally safe.
