Position: Deputy Principal (Primary and Intermediate Years 1–8) / Kura Tuatahi Subjects: English, Health and Physical Education, Learning Languages, Mathematics and Statistics, Science, Social Sciences, Technology, Te Reo Maori, The Arts Units: 2PTU At Rewa Rewa School, we are looking for an aspiring leader with proven success to join our team in Term 1, 2025, as one of our Deputy Principals.
This permanent position has two units attached to it, as well as 0.2 release, to support you in leading educational change in curriculum and assessment.
Our wonderful multicultural U4 Kura is based in Newlands.

The Deputy Principal role requires someone who is passionate about making a positive difference to student outcomes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a syndicate team and school-wide implementation plans through an effective and collaborative, solutions-focused approach.
Currently, we are two years into our Structured Literacy Programme (Liz Kane model) and are being upskilled in mathematical pedagogy through 'The Learner First' (Rob Proffitt-White).
Our Kura Ahurea programme enables us to weave the local stories of Te Atiawa into our classroom programmes.
When asked why they enjoy these lessons, alongside Te Reo, one student replied, "Because it makes my puku feel warm." Minimum Requirements: Applicants must have a current NZ primary teacher registration and be familiar with teaching the NZ Curriculum .
