Trident High School is seeking an experienced deputy principal / kaitiaki to provide visionary leadership that ensures Maori students thrive academically, culturally, and holistically.
About the role:
As deputy principal/kaitiaki you will play a pivotal role in ensuring equity for Maori students through strategic leadership across the following key areas:
Curriculum Design and Delivery: Shape and influence curriculum to authentically incorporate Te Ao Maori perspectives and ensure relevant, inclusive educational experiences.
Assessment Practices: Advocate for and implement equitable assessment practices that honour the unique learning journeys of Maori students.
Pastoral Care and Student Guidance: Champion a culturally responsive and supportive environment for Maori students, ensuring their wellbeing and connection to school.
Student Leadership Development: Inspire and cultivate leadership opportunities, empowering Maori students to grow as confident, capable leaders.
Pedagogical Frameworks: Support and guide teaching practices to embrace culturally responsive and relational pedagogy, fostering a welcoming learning environment for all.
