Deputy Principal Awapuni School is a small, urban school in Palmerston North. 2025 will see a number of staff changes and we are looking for someone to join our team who is wanting to take on a leadership role. We welcome applications from experienced teachers to join our team.
We are looking for a leader who:
has strengths in leading the curriculum, please state these in your application
is a dynamic and motivated teacher to work closely with children in one of our mainstream classes. The level will depend on the skills that the teacher brings
has quality teaching practice and sound behaviour management
will manaaki our tamariki by forming reciprocal, learning focused relationships with them and their whanau
is supportive and confident promoting te reo Maori me nga tikanga
has sound interpersonal and communication skills to lead their colleagues in the curriculum and behaviour management
is a collaborative practitioner with the ability to motivate and inspire learning.
