Deputy Principal, Area / Composite (Years 1–15) Subjects: English, Health and Physical Education, Learning Languages, Mathematics and Statistics, Science, Social Sciences, Technology, Te Reo Maori, The Arts MITA + 3MU The deputy principal is responsible for all of the Junior School (Y1–3). The position requires an experienced junior class teacher who has held leadership roles within the junior school. We are looking for an enthusiastic kaiako who is a collaborative inquiry-focused professional committed to providing equitable outcomes for all our tamariki. An effective knowledge of the junior class NZ Curriculum is essential. The successful applicant will demonstrate a growing understanding of Structured Literacy in the junior class environment. Our school is a bilingual school with all classes operating at either L3 or L2 MLL. Classes are supported by a kai-a-rahi i te reo Maori and a kaiawhina. The successful applicant must have the skill set to provide guidance and professional leadership across junior classes curriculum within a bilingual environment, including te reo me ona Tikanga Maori. Our teaching team is committed to creating extended family/whanau-like contexts for learning which are culturally responsive within all learning experiences: Manaakitanga; Kaitiakitanga; Kotahitanga; Whanaungatanga.
