We are looking for a fun, energetic and passionate leader to join our kura.
The role includes being the school SENCO, so it is essential that the candidate demonstrates empathy and understanding of neurodiversity and students with additional learning needs.
The role will include ORs specialist teaching, some classroom teaching release, and responsibility for pastoral care.
We are looking for a deputy principal who: Is positive and mana enhancing.
Is a strong, confident educational leader who is capable of continuing the strategic direction of the school.
Can work collaboratively and puts the needs of the child at the centre of decision-making.
Has strong administrative and writing skills.
Is committed to upholding the mana of the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Has a proven ability to build on culturally responsive practices and promote cultural diversity.
Is a team player who has a strength in relationships with tamariki, staff whanau, and outside agencies.
Has positive and effective interpersonal skills.
Is able to implement change effectively.
Has strong curriculum knowledge and the ability to continue and enhance the current strategic direction of the school.
Has experienced success with coaching and/or mentoring.
