About the opportunity | Te whai waahiAs our Depot Manager, you will manage the Depot Team and resources for Whareroa's Transport Depot. You will deliver world class asset care, utilisation and best in class transport operation.
With this large scope, a major focus is on leading and engaging a large team of 5 direct and up to 190 indirect reports, including team managers, operations assistants and tanker operators. You'll be responsible for both quality and the health and safety of your team as well as meeting long-term business objectives. You will do this by creating a feeling of belonging and strong team morale through clarifying and reinforcing the team's goals, purpose and behaviour through effective coaching and management.
This role will provide you with huge exposure managing one of Fonterra's largest and most critical transport sites, working closely with Depot Managers from other areas and developing strong working relationships with the Land Transport Authority. Reporting to Site Operations Manager South, you will be focusing on people, performance and safety to make a measurable contribution by increasing capability in both our people and processes.
About you | Moe koeYou'll be an experienced Depot Manager or come from a comparable large leadership role, with proven coaching abilities. You will have experience within transport, logistics and/or manufacturing and a passion for people and safety. You will be composed under pressure, with invaluable people skills, be adaptable, innovative and have a proven record of success in both quality and efficiency.
