Lumino the Dentists Nelson is currently searching for an inquisitive and professional Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our team on a Part Time basis.

Job Description
As the first point of contact for our post-dental treatments, you will take responsibility for instrument sterilisation and infection control as well as stock control.

When working at reception, you will play a vital role in establishing a welcoming and professional atmosphere.

A typical day will see you managing the sterilisation room. You may also be assisting our patients with their enquiries (both over the phone and in person), generating and confirming appointment bookings for our dentists as well as patient recalls, typing, completing payment processing, banking, and other ad hoc administrative duties as required.

When needed, you will support our highly experienced team of clinicians with various interesting dental procedures during patient appointments. Working beside experienced Dentists will give you a great insight into our practice and a rare opportunity to learn from one of the best.

Key Responsibilities:

Sterilise and maintain dental instruments and equipment.

Maintain sterilization processes.

Maintain a clean and hygienic clinical environment.

Reception duties - meeting & greeting patients, general and booking enquiries, record keeping, payment & insurance processing.

Provide clinical chairside assistance when required.

Working Hours:

Tuesday - Thursday 1.30pm - 5.15pm

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Receptionist and a certificate in Dental Assisting (preferred).

Experience with dental terminology (with ongoing training for the right candidate).

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.

Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Eager to learn.
