Dental Assistant / Receptionist | New Plymouth Lumino The Dentists – New Plymouth, North Island Due to one of our team members going on parental leave, Lumino New Plymouth is currently on the lookout for a Dental Assistant / Receptionist to join our team on a fixed-term basis until October 2024. Lumino The Dentists New Plymouth have a longstanding, experienced and friendly team of clinicians who make our clients feel welcome and relaxed. We offer a wide range of treatments and treat everyone as though they are part of our friendly family. As one of our receptionists, you will be the friendly face that our patients see when they enter our doors and the voice they hear when they call our practice. A typical day will see you assisting our patients with their enquiries, generating, and confirming appointment bookings for our clinicians, payment processing, banking, and other ad hoc administrative duties. As one of our Dental Assistants, you will work alongside our highly trained clinicians and other dental professionals to provide excellent patient care and support. You will be tasked with supporting our clinicians during various dental procedures and ensuring best practice standards are upheld, and the best patient care is provided to every patient. You will also take control of tasks such as sterilisation and infection control, ensuring all instruments and equipment are processed and sterilised following best practice guidelines. This is a fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You will be someone who enjoys working closely within a team and providing upstanding customer service. The hours for the role are below: Monday: 8:15am - 5:15pm Tuesday: 8:15am - 5:15pm Thursday: 8:15am - 5:15pm Friday: 8:15am - 1:15pm Responsibilities Greet patients in person and over the phone in a friendly and professional manner. Respond to patient emails and queries. Process payments and book appointments. Maintain accurate patient records and filing systems. Assist clinicians during dental procedures, such as taking X-rays, sterilising instruments, and preparing materials. Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for use. The Person Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer-facing role. Previous experience as a Dental Assistant. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Proficiency in using computer software applications. Experience with file keeping and data entry. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
