The Faculty of Dentistry - Te Kaupeka Puniho, has an international reputation for clinical and research excellence.
Founded in 1907, it is New Zealand's National Centre for Dentistry.
It forms an integral part of the Division of Health Sciences within the University of Otago.The role/Te mahiWe have opportunities available for full-time, part-time, or semester time only (31 weeks per year), Dental Assistants to join our team.Key tasks of the roles include:Preparation of clinics for Undergraduate and Post Graduate clinical sessions.Chairside assistance for both staff and students working within the school.Patient management.Sterilisation of instruments as required.Applications from individuals who are dual qualified in dental assisting and sterilising would be welcomed.We are looking for candidates with:Dental Assistant experience.New Zealand Dental Assistants' Certificate or equivalent qualification as recognised by the Faculty of Dentistry.Excellent people and communication skills.Sterilising experience in a dental or hospital facility (an advantage).These Dunedin based positions are permanent and offer flexible days and hours depending on personal circumstances.Hours of work will be by arrangement with your supervisor, between the hours of 7am and 6pm.Positions to start in February 2025.The appointment range for these positions is $59,285 to $63,651 (pro rata, per annum).
Top of range is $68,744 (pro rata, per annum).You must have the right to live and work in New Zealand to apply for these positions.The University is committed to meeting its obligations under the Children Act 2014.
