Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity We are currently seeking Dental Assistants to join our dynamic Dental Assistant team based at either Greenlane Clinical Centre or Middlemore Hospital.
Our Dental Assistants work in a friendly team environment with great mentoring and support. You would be an integral part of the hospital-based team that provides dental care in hospitals across Auckland. Working from clinics and operating theatres we provide our patients with a full range of dental services from oral surgery through to paediatric dentistry.
Your role will encompass: Chairside assisting in clinicChairside assisting in operating theatresFollowing and adhering to infection and prevention control measuresPreparing instruments to be sent to the hospital Central Sterile Supplies Department for sterilisationWorking within a range of dental specialties at multiple locationsOpportunity for project work and continuing educationApplicants will be qualified or working towards completing the NZDA Certificate in Dental Assistant. You will possess experience working as a chairside dental assistant and have a good understanding of the practical application of infection prevention and control procedures in dental practice. You will perform well within a team environment that is rich in experience and has knowledge in all areas of dental assisting and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to patients.
