This involves supporting all council and committee meetings by preparing meeting agendas, taking and distributing meeting minutes, creating record of proceedings and providing advice on the democratic process in a timely manner.About youThis role requires strong communication skills, a high level of diplomacy and professionalism and a desire to collaborate with others to achieve great results as a team. We require you to have administration experience and an ability to understand/prior knowledge of Local Government Act and/or Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act.A related qualification or relevant experience would also be an advantage.In addition, our ideal candidate would have:Strong administration skills and experience around the preparation of professional meeting agendas and minutesTime management skills and highly organisedAbility to effectively facilitate and mediate between the operational and governance sides of local governmentUnderstanding of local government systems and processesAdept in the use of communication technologyDemonstrated ability to work well and support others within a team environmentEnjoys working in a support roleThe successful candidate will be a great fit for the team and have transferable skills or relevant experience.
