With strong development in our district and a diverse working environment, we value our community and our people.About the roleWe have a great opportunity for a collaborative administrator to join our Democracy & Assurance team, supporting council and committee meetings and the democratic process. This involves preparing meeting agendas, taking and distributing meeting minutes, creating records of proceedings, and providing advice on the democratic process in a timely manner.About youThis role requires strong communication skills, a high level of diplomacy and professionalism, and a desire to collaborate with others to achieve great results as a team. We require you to have administration experience and an understanding or prior knowledge of the Local Government Act and/or the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act.A related qualification or relevant experience would also be an advantage.In addition, our ideal candidate would have:Strong administration skills and experience in preparing professional meeting agendas and minutesTime management skills and a highly organized approachAbility to effectively facilitate and mediate between the operational and governance sides of local governmentUnderstanding of local government systems and processesAdept in the use of communication technologyDemonstrated ability to work well and support others within a team environmentEnjoys working in a support roleThe successful candidate will be a great fit for the team and have transferable skills or relevant experience.
