Crowne Plaza Christchurch is located in the heart of downtown Christchurch, right opposite Victoria Square and just a short walk from major attractions, including the Avon River, Town Hall, Art Gallery, Te Pae Conference Centre and the modern dining and shopping precincts.
Our Kitchen department is the heart and centre of the hotel and you could be joining this great team as a Demi Chef with us!
Every day is different, but you'll mostly be: Assisting the executive chef and the kitchen team in preparing, cooking and serving dishes to Crowne Plaza Christchurch standard.Responsible for food quality using recipes and photos that are provided.Maintaining a hygienic kitchen and ensuring standard operational procedures are to HACCP standards and update reports daily.Maintaining correct levels of stock, ensuring correct quantity of food is produced.Scheduled to cover either the breakfast shift or the dinner shift, depending on business needs.What we need from you: At least 2 years' experience as a Chef.Diploma and/or Vocational Certificate in Culinary Skills or related field.Knowledge of a la carte and banquet service with modern and classical cooking techniques.Problem solving, reasoning and training abilities.Ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties.What we offer: Join our extraordinary world and experience a place where you can be yourself, share your ideas, support your personal growth and wellbeing, and be a valued member of an inspirational team.
