Make a difference in the lives of people affected by dementia!
We are seeking a qualified health professional (Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Nurse, SLT or other Allied Health discipline) preferably with full professional membership/registration.
Passionate about supporting people diagnosed with dementia to live well.
Proven engagement skills at all levels.
We are on the hunt for an exuberant team player who will be based in Christchurch.
What does Dementia Canterbury do?
We are a long-established charity providing specialist community-based support for people diagnosed with dementia, their care partners, and whanau.
Our interdisciplinary clinical team includes Social Workers, Educators, Occupational Therapists, Activity Coordinators, and Volunteer Coordinators who provide information, education, support, cognitive therapy, advocacy, activities, and social support programs to people affected by dementia and whanau living in the community.
This position is:
Part-time with some flexibility.
Involves some travel.
Provides one-to-one and whanau support within the community, as well as facilitation of a range of therapeutic services.
Provided with the position:
Home and office support.
Professional supervision.
Training and development.
Teamwork opportunities.
You will need:
A current annual practicing certificate/professional membership.
Commitment to a community-focused model of service delivery.
Desire to be part of a robust professional team committed to supporting people to live well with dementia.
Solution-focused.
Positive and enthusiastic.
Full driver's licence.
