Delivery Driver

Location: Wanganui Job Type: Part Time Duration: Casual No of Positions: 1 Description BHS Transportation Limited is a small family-owned business. Due to an increase in our workload, we need a delivery driver to deliver groceries from supermarkets to our customers. Job Title: Delivery Driver Wage Rate: Minimum wage. Any extra hours worked will be compensated at a base hourly rate. This is a Monday-to-Sunday role involving rotating shift work. It's going to start with a minimum of 15 hours per week, and it will be full time in a couple of months. What will you be doing? The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver our goods to customers, utilizing our fleet of vehicles. Safe loading and on-time departure of delivery vehicles as required. Safe delivery of goods to each of our customer sites. Ensure deliveries are made in full, on time, and in accordance with our customer's requirements. Ensure that the vehicle remains fit for purpose for the next day. What you need to bring to us Be physically fit - frequent lifting of up to 25kg (Manual Handling Required). Class 1 NZ licence. Ability to drive an auto transmission vehicle. Hold a clean driving and criminal record for MOJ check. Driving experience preferred but not essential. An understanding of food warehousing & distribution. Reliability, punctuality, and a clean criminal history. Ability to work unsupervised. Please apply online with an up-to-date CV.
